Kernels on the Web

To get going with on-line consumer ordering you need to do a few things:

bullet

THE EASY WAY TO DO THIS is to just use your unit's orderpopcorn.com key code for all your Scouts.  It's the quickest and simplest way to go.  To look up your key code, just Click Here!

If you really want to get your individual Scout ID numbers, then there is some work involved.  For this to occur, you need to first get your unit kernel access set up on your unit’s Trail’s End web site page. This is a completely different web site than our Popcorn Manager. Send an E-mail to cfederer@attglobal.net  We will send you your access instructions.

Next, after you have web access, you need to set up your Scouts (First name, Last initial only) within dens/patrols on your Trail’s End web site page.  As each Scout is added, the Scout ID number is automatically generated.

Now that you have the Scout ID numbers, give them to the Scouts.  Have the Scouts invite family and friends to order more popcorn through the WWW.orderpopcorn.com web site.  They need to use the ID number to browse the products, and the number assures that any purchase is credited to your unit.

bullet

Consider purchasing the WWW.OrderPopcorn.com  refrigerator magnets from Trail's End for your Scouts who are interested.  Scouts write their ID numbers on the magnets and distribute them to likely consumers.  The magnets serve as a reminder to buy popcorn year round.  When the consumer completes the sale, the web site uses the Scout’s name to thank the consumer for the sale.  Alternatively, print off our Orderpopcorn labels and hand them out to your Scouts.

Your unit will receive a commission of 25% on every sale over the web.  Remember, this is less than what your unit makes (33%) with our annual fall sale and the Scouts will not receive any prize credits (typically worth another 5%) for web based sales.  This is because of all the extra costs of individual shipping which is included in the popcorn prices.  Commissions will be passed through the council to each unit on a periodic basis.

The Orderpopcorn.com site is intended to supplement our annual fall sale, not replace it.    However, we know that many consumers ask our council for more popcorn year round, and this is your unit’s way to benefit during the winter, spring, and summer.  Trail's End has upgraded the service to now make single products available!  Check it out by using your unit's ID number!
